Earthquake In Andaman & Nicobar Island,Orrisa Tremors In Chennai and Hong Kong

Around 10:25 pm on the Tuesday night while the whole Island was ready to sleep an earthquake hit the Andaman and Nicobar Island,but there was no damages reported the quake measured 6.8 on the Richter scale according to Indian Met department.The epicenter was north, off the coast of the islands.
The tremors were felt in some part of Orrisa,Chennai and even in Hong kong,many people in these parts spent thier night in open space in the fear.The US Geoglocial Survey placed the epicentre of the quake at a depth of 45.4 kilometres (28.2 miles) and at a point 217 kilometres (135 miles) north of Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman islands.The epicentre was also 406 kilometres (252 miles) southwest of Pathein and 500 kilometres (310 miles) southwest of Yangon, both in Myanmar.
